Reading fics
Feb. 23rd, 2006 04:18 pmLooking at the PoT write meme, I realise there are so many fics written by friends that I have not yet read.
I FAIL. I always see them and then think I'll read when I get home, but by the time I do get home from work, I just want to spend the time to either write my own stuff, or play games =_= And of course, if I have ongoing stories, I tend to avoid reading altogether!
Should find a quiet day at work and print out stuff and read them on the train!
For now, it's just bad that I'm asking for comments but not actually contributing to the comments myself ~_~"""" I'm sorry. :(
[edit] How do you read fics? Always on the screen? Or do you prefer to print them out?
Because of time constraints these days, I prefer printing them out to read while I commute. So I've been thinking about offering word doc/PDF versions of my fics as I post them on
word_games, to make it easier for anyone who wants to save a copy or print them out.
Is this a very silly idea? :D;

Date: 2006-02-23 07:13 pm (UTC)It never occurs to me to actually print them out. That and I think I'm too much of a cheapskate. It's quite sad.
But I still think offering a doc/pdf file would be pretty cool. I used to save fics to disk (back in the days of the diskettes) and read them later because I didn't have a lot of net access but had laptop access.
