Still need help~
Jul. 26th, 2005 07:27 pmStill not sure where to go -_- have decided that we don't want to be sightseeing all the time. As in, there should be places to do things or watch things be made. Chocolate factory, huge toy stores, or wine making, that sort of thing (I'm not particularly imaginative atm). Or markets. Any sort of suggestions?

Date: 2005-07-26 07:26 pm (UTC)This trip thing is beginning to hurt my head and it hasn't even started. In fact, deciding where to go when both participants don't mind where to go is the problem.

Date: 2005-07-26 07:31 pm (UTC)In fact, why don't you just choose according to weather? I just looked at the forecast for here, and while it's gonna get warm again tomorrow, it is also going to rain a lot, and get back to like it is today (coldish and rainy) on the weekend. I think the weather would be a good deciding factor.

Date: 2005-07-26 07:37 pm (UTC)I went to the bookshop today and every guide book and website talk about museums as if they're the only thing to see, it's so strange! Why would people on holiday want to go to museums...? I suppose I'm just not a museum fan. I'd go in my own time, but not waste my precious holidays staring at stuff under a roof. ^^"""

Date: 2005-07-26 07:44 pm (UTC)Other than that... I like architecture, and since museums usually are cool for that, I like seeing them. In particular the Tate in St. Ives left an impression, and I've been back there several times, regardless of the art on display. But in general, museums are not my thing, either. When I travel, I go sightseeing, and I shop. I like shopping. Shopping makes the Tine happy. I also tend to sample food more regardless of price than when I am at home.
So in summary: nice architecture, possibly a few sights, good food, and shopping, that's the good stuff. >_> Let's all go to HK together sometime?

I like sightseeing. I'm not sure if my mum likes it very much. She gets tired too easily.
