Oh Irumi (Illumi?), I have only seen you in a few episodes and you have empty eyes and no expressions and probably very wirey hair (my imagination) and you're a total freak and I know nothing about you, but I wub you so damn much. I really hope there will be more of you in the anime. I will need to read the manga even though I have seen in Shounen Jump sort of "art" it has become. Now I must get the manga. Wonder how much it'll cost me from YesAsia. *goes check*

Wait until you read the manga to form your opinion on Hisoka? I'm begging on my knees, here. Anime!Hisoka is so EWWWWWWW.

But despite being evil, Illumi is sort of cute. And the eyes... <3 I think Killua has the same eyes when he's really pissed, too. Must be a family thing. *nods*

The thing with the art is... as Togashi has chronic back pains or something, he puts a minimum of effort on the weekly publication, and makes it better afterwards. The art is usually much better for the tankubon release. *nods muchly* Anyway, the ending of the anime forces one to read the manga, oh yes. It's also available for download here and there. ^^

YES! And you DO want to do fandom things. We can, like, make a fandom of three. Or possibly four if Dimmeh ever gets to it. Anyway, there's a slight problem with the names, because Togashi is teh sucks at english, but he still wrote his characters' names in 'normal' alphabet... so Illumi is Yellmi, Kurapica is Kurapikt and so on. The translators all over the world are doing their best to ignore this until the manga shoves it in their faces. >_>

Mangaka always have assistants. Famous ones have at least 3 or 4 normally, they can have up to a whole team of them. For weekly publications, unless the mangaka really insists, he usually just do the pencils and leave all the inking and screentone-ing to the assistants~

Problem with names. Reminds me of Weiss Kreuz XD! Brad or Bradley, Schuldip or Schuldich or Schudig? Who cares~ I say Irumi because that's how the name is written in katakana, but Illumi looks pretty cool too...

You make it sound like the HxH fandom is pretty small O_o which'd be weird because I know the Chinese fandom is humongous.

Yes, that's also the impression I have, but usually the assistants are mentionned sometimes in the manga, like in extra pages, and in this case all we get is that he got married and went to Egypt and had a kid and stuff like that. Considering the art quality of a few chapters like, twenty chapters ago, I don't think his assistants do a lot of work if he even has them.

Downloading... You can get volumes 1 and 2 here, as well as volume 20 and free chapters. Most recent chapters can be found there, and for the rest you have . Although you'll have to register and waiting twelve seconds before starting downloads is a bit of a pain, and the first 15 volumes or so there are not too good translations of the French parution, but I couldn't find anywhere else to get the missing links. ;_;

Or you can come to Tine's next week and I'll give you a CD. Not resorting to bribery at all, no no.
