I've just spent about 3 hours searching for short courses / evening classes on creative writing in London (work? what work?). I don't want to do distance learning, the remaining courses all either won't start in another 4 months or I'm just not interested. GAH.

oooh hey. this is probably not a solution to your problem, but you can probably find Hemingway On Writing at B&N or Waterstones and sort of browse through that? it's not a replacement for a course but it's kind of inspirational to read him writing about writing.
