Kunimitsu means Pride of the Nation or something like that, I think? It's a very traditional, typical name... but somewhat uncool and old-fashioned. It's like being called Mary - there's nothing wrong with the name, but it just makes people think of the old times, and the characters in children's books ^^"
Japanese is like that X_x" a kanji can have several different pronounciation, and some pronounciation can be written as several different kanjis. ^^" I just think it's cute to call him "Mitsu" coz of its other meaning XD~~~
The stereotypical seme/uke urks me as well O_o It's like reading about a crying, whiney Schu... *shivers*
