Roundabouts pwned.
Jun. 20th, 2011 12:10 amDriving today was good. I survived the Colchester Magic Roundabout and many other roundabouts.
Yesterday was a day of NOTHING WORKED. Anything I tried to do just failed miserably and it took me hours just to take in some trousers. orz And it rained and I got soaked and it was cold etc etc. Today was much better though. And I made lavender cupcakes. Probably because I made lavender cupcakes.
We don't have our usual sewing machine now, we had to give it to the shop for checks/repairs yesterday since it was acting strangely and making unhappy noises. At the shop the man was bemused when we said we use our machine everyday, and said that we should consider the more industrial models in that case. XD And that although the maintenance manual doesn't mention oiling, we should still oil the needle bar anyway if we use it that much. Really? Machines aren't designed for regular usage now?
We still have my old machine which is perfectly usable (though a bit noisy) but today I just totally can't be arsed to sew so I started working on Shanoa's breastplate using the method suggested by Tab. It's working pretty well. Photos later, or you could go poke at my FB, I uploaded it an hour-ish ago.
Hungry now. I should've made more cupcakes.
