1. I hate it when old jobs come back to bite in the ass. It's a bit like someone commenting on the fic you wrote when you were 14.



2. The place I booked for my last 2 nights in Tokyo has been renamed, and isn't going to provide breakfast anymore. I wonder if that means they were doing so badly that they had to re-brand, or if they have recently rennovated, or bought by another company, or something else. Oh well, I'm not too bothered as long as it's clean and the bed's comfy.



3. Renji is a D:rama queen. I should not be allowed to write him.



4. Progress is when you do the same set of exercise you've done before but you aren't nearly as puffed afterwards, and your legs are perfectly fine the following day, rather than omgpainpainpain. This is for the sake of general fitness, but I'm starting to think one day, I might even fit into those trousers that are hiding in my wardrobe somewhere...



5. I feel a bit dizzy today, not sure why.



6. Switching back to full-flist reading.



7. I don't like having things thrown at me. I don't like people making ngar-ngar-ngaaar noises or saying "con knee chee waaaaa" and waggling eyebrows at me thinking they're being funny and Chinesey and intimidating. I don't like aforementioned people asking me why my hair is blonde. I don't like being leered at for no good reason. London, I love you and hate you.

On fandom stereotypes

Sometimes I wonder if I'm just looking at the wrong places. A lot of people seem to be saying there's too much Ukemura around, but I don't see him. Like I was saying to reposoir last weekend, I miss Ukemura. I actually miss him. Ever since the major Sememura movement/fandom shift a year or two ago, I've hardly seen Ukemura anywhere and I crave variety. Perhaps it's because all the ficcers I read only write Yukimura as a tough, charismatic person (or even badass).

Personally I like to throw him in situations where he is normally tough but there are things he can't deal with alone, because him, like Tez, can't be invincible. Maybe he has a bad fear for roaches. Or thunderstorms. Or losing. Or death. He has his own demons. I like seeing him make mistakes and not being always right. Maybe Sanada is right some of the time and it makes Yukimura go =/ *hmph!* and there may even be things that Sanada and Renji laugh at Yukimura about.

It's not quite Ukemura, but I don't make him Superman, either.

And I disagree with tenimyu!Yukimura being uke. The lyrics of his songs are a bit wibbly, but still strong. There's resolve in there. He was singing about the LAW of winning and friendship, for God's sake. "Yuujou no Tennis" actually disturbed me because it implied that the law of their friendship is based on their victory...

To any non-flisters reading my journal hoping for an offer to buy Tenimyu goods (I know you're out there), for RikkaiMyu 2nd service I've decided to offer it to people on my flist only. It was just too much hard work carrying everything last time - carrying over US$1600 worth of pamphlets and photosets was just too much for a repeat (and there were 2 of us!) If I think I can manage, I'll just get some extra sets of everything and then sell them on when I come back.

Anyway, I think there are already other people offering to buy goods, at various prices... *cough*

BUT. I think some friends who are also going are interested in selling goods, so if you really do want to order but not through the other channels, you could still comment here and I'll point them to this post and persuade them to get stuff.
