This icon makes me all ".........."

1. Thanks to giving_ground for lending me a certain book! I was only some 20-pages in and I already have ideas for my their_white_day contribution. And then on the way to work this morning I thought more about it and it's really taking shape.



2. I think someone has been pimping [The City] recently! ** I'm starting to get comments for it again. That's really special, since the story was finished a year ago. But it still hasn't surpassed the response I got for [Trials of Trust] XD. But ToT was... special in its own way............ ahem.......... *shifty eyes* Anyway, [The City] probably attracted a smaller reader base to start with. I know it's Rikkai, but you just can't compare that with ZukaFuji in terms of the number of shippers out there. That said, to be honest, [The City] is a much more "exhausting" read and anyone who takes the time to comment after finishing it deserves a gold star. ☆
   
   ** I'd really love to see how people pimp fics. I mean, what kind of a summary would they write? And I'd love to know how to recommend the fics I like to other people and make it sound attractive enough for them to want to click on the link. So, what do you look for in a good rec? I mostly just click on whatever link I see on my list, as long as it's from someone I know to share similar tastes, so I don't really look for a summary or anything...
   
   I know, I know, I keep talking about this damned story even after so long, but I like it, so...

I treat my LJ memories like bookmarks, because I go online from different computers and can't take the browser bookmarks with me. (Sometimes I use gmail drafts and private LJ posts to save links. But.) So just now, bored, I went and read some fics I've added to memories but never got around to read.

And. And. Coherency? Gone.

It doesn't help that I'm hungry. Hunger makes Pez go all weird. But oh, explosion of love for Rikkai and Toast and Smiley Tensai. Explosion of love for SanaYuki, SanaYukiYana, the Yuki-glue that holds the world together. Why, why can't I write SanaYukiYana. Why can't I write Yanagi and Inui, not necessarily together but just together? Why?
