Okay so I haven't seen Cold Mountain yet (damn, all these nominations, makes me want to watch it now... but no time), but I know Jude Law does really good acting in that too. And I haven't seen the other films nominated... but come on. How often can a man do comedy this good he can get nominated for the Oscars? That in itself is a triumph for Johnny! I really, really hope he'll win. He made Jack Sparrow come alive! I never realised the man who did films like Sleepy Hollow and From Hell can do comedy this good!

And oh, if RotK doesn't win Best Picture and Best Director, I think I'll just... oh I dunno, murder someone.

I totally disagree with The Last Samurai being nominated for Best Costume. X_x Costume? What costume? Where? And Ken Watanabe for Best Supporting Actor... he is good, but not that good that I remember his acting very much at all. X_x"

BTW, has anyone seen "Girl with a Pearl Earring"? It's an art-ish film isn't it? Any good?
