Being productive

1. Just downgraded my mobile phone plan, changed electricity supplier and haggled with Sky for cheaper TV + landline + broadband. As a result I should be saving over £400 in the next 12 months.



2. So who are the active mods at tenipuri these days? I have a few quick suggestions for the comm.

2. I know. But the profile page also says "don't use images larger than icon size outside lj-cut" and "don't change text colours" and nobody's listening, so I reckon that page is really outdated.

Considering all of the non-stop sell posts from the same sellers, I'd say that tenipuri has no 'active' mod. It's the wild west of tenipuri comms.

I think I've become desensitized to most of it from just seeing it so often for so long. Pics/gifs don't bother me as long as they fit in my layout which is on the thin side. And I have a white background so I'm not even sure I really register colour fonts as they usually don't end up blinding. But I remember when I had coloured backgrounds how some of them could kill my eyes.

The constant sales posts from the two people who are clearly selling to make a profit like a store and not just fans looking to rid themselves of things do annoy me however.

Personally I don't care much if they're making a profit or not, but the constant barrage of posts are getting ridiculous.

The frequency bothers me the most since I'm not against people making a profit or running a store. But the one sort of passing themself off as being all friendly and doing everyone a favour selling these things but has such high prices that are so marked up annoys me especially. I don't need to see someone advertise their 'store' every other day. There's a reason I have adblock... it's just not smart enough to adblock posts.

I sent a LJ message to tyg and lelola to see who's around. I'm guessing Pan (lelola) checks LJ at least once in a while but I don't know tyg at all.

I don't want to complain since it's been an active comm for so many years it's really hard to moderate, and I was once offered moderatorship and turned it down. But just want to know if there's anyone in charge at all, really.

I'm sure we aren't the only ones getting tired of some of the things going on in the comm. Just a friendly reminder from a current (or a new) mod wouldn't go unappreciated by most I suspect. Even older comms need a little nudge once and a while.
