So, anyone know how Faize manages to wear that cloak (given to him during the game, not on character design drawings) so that although it's a cloak, it looks like a long scarf on him and it doesn't seem bulky? >_> Is it just game magic? orz Because I'm thinking about making it. 1) can keep me warm when I wear it as a cloak, 2) it's an important item to him in the game, 3) hey, a cloak! .....though it might be expensive though, all that material...

Made a start on the tidying last night but didn't get very far because tidying meant moving around a lot. XD; But did sit down and made Faize's knee rings.

Went to bed way early but couldn't sleep until 1am.

Time for a poll. When you're typing, say in MS Word or OpenOffice, after a full-stop/period, do you use the space bar once or twice?

I used to press twice, but then I read an article explaining that pressing twice was just the legacy of typewriters when you had to press twice to get proper spacing. Word processors automatically space better than that, so I've stopped doing it.

Well, I say I've stopped. I still do a Find->Replace All to get any double spaces out of documents because I usually slip up half the time. >_>

Heh, I get pretty annoyed when I find double spaces in documents I collaborate with people, and do a find&replace!

Totally used to single space since double space means nothing when I type online...

This. I double-space occasionally out of habits learned in word processing classes in high school.

I'm a typesetter in RL, and I've always been told the same thing.

Yeah, back when I was first learning to type we were told it's double space after period/question mark/exclamation point, single space after all other punctuation. But that was ages ago and I remember that the instruction changed at some point.

We were taught to double-space at the end of a sentence at school - I think you got marked down if you didn't in CLAIT. It stuck.

We were taught to double-space in elementary school (or for when we were *really* little, one finger between words and two fingers between the end of a sentence and a new sentence XD), but since high school and having computer classes, it hasn't come up. I usually do it once, since you have to specially format things for double spaces to show up online anyway :P

...I had never heard of this double-spacing phenomenon. o_O But then, I've never been taught to type, so. XD

XD Really? I look at a lot of MSWord documents for work and double-space after full-stop happens quite often!

I have always double-spaced. I did start off on a typewriter though. Then a touch-typing program on an old BBC computer at school ^_^
The official rule for passing your RSA/OCR when I did it about 5 years ago was double-space though.

Put it down to personal preference!

I have a much greater concern at the moment of how to break my Boss of her habit of using a semi-colon instead of a colon before a list - the wierdo :P

Never heard of double spacing after sentences. Probably due to my lack of knowledge on typing or whatsoever. Well, can't say much when super mario taught you to type. My dad just bought me the typing/practice keyboard where all the keys were divided into 2 sections (left and right) and a typing software wif super mario on the cover so there you go.

Btw, there was no such format outlined for my research paper either. So it probably applicable to certain circumstances.

Not sure if it's certain circumstances or not. Back in school some people did it, some didn't, and I think it depended only on what we saw other people do!

I've been told to, even in high school, but I will do it only when I really, really need the extra length. >>
