I was wondering this when I saw them yesterday, but now I have to ask: am I really the only one who thinks these roses are not blue, but lilac? 'Cause they don't look all that dissimilar to what I'm used to when buying pink-shaded roses - in the very least, in that picture and all the others I have seen, they don't look *blue*.
To me, a blue flower looks like this: Enzian/Gentiana. Have I suddenly acquired a weird kind of colour-blindness?
:O my mum grows these in the front garden! They're really beautiful, but sometimes they don't survive the winter and don't flower the following year :( It is a rare beauty.
