pez: (Last Remnant - Glow)
[personal profile] pez

(This was WIP. After taking the photos I painted the rest of it.)

Trying to decide on the eyepatch. In the still arts it doesn't go all the way around the head, but in the game it does. I've made the former, but maybe I should add some black elastic to it so that it becomes the latter. Will make wearing it easier. I was going to put a LED throwie inside the eyepatch since it's supposed to glow! But it turned out the throwie's light isn't strong enough. =/

This was the message:

Maybism and Negahyst aren't putting out anything as far as I can see. ;;

As for The Last Remnant, I only managed to find two stalls! XD Though I bet there will be others along the same row. They'll be there on 15 August (Saturday):

西2ホール No.あ-62b & 63b..... ie. West 2 Hall Row あ (should be the equivalent of the first row, A) stall no.62b & 63b.

If you do go please look for them for me. ;;

PoT in general seem to be on the Friday, also in West 2 Hall, around Row し.....
---

ALSO. If you think of other PoT circles you want to look up, let me know and I'll poke around to see if they'll be there~

Excellent! I'll see what I can do. We're scheduled to go on the 15th, so I might not get any PoT stuff at all at Comiket. Which is probably good for my wallet.

Is the Bleach stuff also on Friday? >_>

For Bleach, do you know of any doujinka's websites? If you do I can check them for you, otherwise I don't even know where to start looking. (The programme for comiket itself isn't available online...)

I know about the ones with National Express East Anglia, which is the line I need to use to get down to London before going to Euston to go to Coventry... will there be strikes on the Euston/Coventry line too? DDDD:

Ahhhh yeah it's national express. It'll affect me but should be alright. When are you arriving at Coventry and where are you staying? I'm getting there Friday night and staying on site.

That is some awesome freakin' talent you have! I'm lucky I can sew buttons on shirts, and the only painting I can do on clothes is when I wear a special t-shirt meant to wipe the brush off when I've got time to sit in front of a canvas. I can't wait to see the final product.

Thanks! Actually it doesn't look nearly as good up close. XD It's just copying, so all it takes is patience. XD

This is really awesome--you've made a lot of progress on this in a really short time.

^^ Thanks!

I'm starting to wonder if his dad and grandad are both called David and he's David Nassau III. Would explain the III on his jacket...

Hmm. Might not be his direct ancestors, of course--could be his great-grandfather and great-great-great-grandfather, or something (how long's it been since Athlum was founded, anyway?). But that does sound pretty plausible.

Could be! Would be weird if his dad was also David... imagine Torgal saying "Lord David" and Dave and his dad answer at the same time...

Athlum was founded, anyway?

...I don't even know what Athlum IS! In the sidequests Allan referred to it as a country, David once referred to it as a town, and I think at other points people referred to it as a city. It's some sort of... colony, with Celapaleis being its sovereign, but it's hard to tell its size when they define it so differently throughout the game. But at least it's large enough to have its own army... O_o

I assumed Athlum was a March--a sort of county-sized chunk of land along a border--since he's a Marquis. A March would *have* to have an army--it's specifically a militarised border county primed for defense, really.

(And there's at least one Baron in Celepalais too, isn't there? That would make sense--Celepalais as the larger state with sub-divisions administered by various nobles who all have to answer to Qubine.)

Which still means Athlum could be roughly any size, to be honest. My guess would be that Athlum is the name for both the city itself and for the wider district. Gah, geopolitics is confusing.

That makes a lot of sense! Damn, it had me wondering for months, I wish they could've just explained it more clearly in the game.

There's a lot that they left pretty vague in the game, really. I do sort of wonder if they rushed completion and had to leave some background/side details out; the second half feels sparser than the first, if you know what I mean.

There definitely was a lot of hurrying the game through. Not just with background, but also with other things such as explanation on formations as well. I can't believe they just did not explain anything about how to use that really vital part of battle strategy, what formation upgrades to what and why/which some leaders are "special" and some are not and depends on which ones you use, you might or might not get upgrades. I bet the game would've been more popular if only they explained things. orz

Yes, definitely--and also how to (or even just that you *could*) structure formations to prioritize different types of options in battle.

Alas. They didn't even address that stuff in the PC version, did they?

Date: 2009-08-07 02:50 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] yuki-scorpio.livejournal.com
They did't. SE just didn't see where the problem was, I bet. Or they just gave up on the game. Probably a bit of both. :( Even for xbox, how hard could it be to write a few small tutorials afterwards and have them available as a free DLC? Yet they didn't even bother. The only DLCs they gave were the harder bosses and even more formations. """"orz
