Question time! I need a new hairdryer. Do those "ions" and "anti-frizz" and "add shine OMG" etc hairdryers actually do anything special, or should I just get a cheap-o one from Argos?

not sure about "add shine", but my feeling is ions do help to fight electrostatics (or whatever it's called) my hair is dyed so it used to be a pain before I got one of those Ion-force models
