This game needed a bigger budget

elyndys summarised last weekend very well, though the bl, BL and Floatation was not part of my weekend. XD And didn't champagne happen twice, just like cake? XDDI'm in the final area of IU! Gonna finish it tonight. Was going to go and do quests, but figured there are things I missed that I can't get now anyway, so why bother. Only zoned out to upgrade all the weapons and armour.
Some more impressions:
- Iskan du Bal looks so much like Genma. GJ with the character design. orz And what is with the stating of the bloody obvious after that fight?
- Wow, Capell totally got laid there. And that turned out to be all he needed. I'm disappointed with the way it went; would have been more special if he liked Faina from start to finish. Can we have a story where the main guy doesn't fall in love with the main woman? It's so typical. And I don't like Aya anyway.
- Sometimes it's the voice acting that's bad, but a lot of the time it's the animation that's to blame. The VAs did try, and hell, not every game has the budget to make the lips move like the words being spoken, but when the animators don't even bother making the lips move during some part of the talking, that's just LAZY. It's either that or the characters all like to randomly switch to ventriloquism. And in the "emotional" scene just before Capell got laid, Jason Liebrecht really worked hard at it, but his character's face was just ._. Couldn't the animators at least try?
There's about to be a (literal) break-through in cheesy fic. Hello, Torgal. \XD/
I want to wear gloves all the time so that I can 1) drown my hands in lotion, 2) stop biting my nails. They're starting to hurt quite badly.
