Come on, let's kick some a!
Mar. 11th, 2009 01:57 pmI pre-ordered TLR PC version because dammit, I'll play it, somehow! And it's only £25 on Amazon rather than the RRP £35.
Currently eyeing this system (although the DVI-only output is not ideal). I just need to make up my damn mind and press the "buy" button. It's not like I can't afford it. I just feel bad spending money. >>
Of course, I've spent lunch time at Currys Digital looking at TVs, too.* OTZ I feel a bit bad because the current one is only two years old, but I've moved house and the new place demands a bigger screen! But I'll see what my dad has to say after he comes to see my house. He knows much more about TVs than I do. (We've been talking about letting my sister have mine and me getting a shinier one...) Hahaha who knows, maybe he'll decide to buy me one...
* Funny enough, the LG ones looked better than the Sonys and Panasonics. Though it's highly likely that the shop just didn't bother with fiddling with the adjustsments before they put the TVs on display, and LGs are are lot easier to set up than other bigger, better brands.
Also...
MICHAEL JACKSON. O2 ARENA. JULY. TICKETS ON SALE THIS FRIDAY. £50-75. AM I GOING TO TRY TO GET TICKET? FUCKING YES.
[edit] Forgot to say: Cheese Fondue (current title of WIP because IT'S SO FUCKING CHEESY) turned out to be a fic all about Allan. What? Oi, Allan, YOU'RE JUST A SIDE CHARACTER, SO STAY ON THE SIDE AND STOP DEVELOPING YOUR OWN PLOT. STOP. IT'S NOT CUTE.

Date: 2009-03-11 03:08 pm (UTC)When I got my awesome TV of perfection last year, I didn't go with the big names. Note what I call my TV ^^, so you can see how well that's worked.

Date: 2009-03-11 03:10 pm (UTC)Heh. XD My current TV is actually a LG! Nothing wrong with it really. I just wondered why the shop didn't try to make their more expensive merchandise look better!

Date: 2009-03-11 03:33 pm (UTC)Yeah, this is about how I feel.
If my work computer had a decent graphics there'd be every risk I'd be in here on a weekend to play it. I have keys.

Date: 2009-03-11 03:34 pm (UTC)Marketing is beyond me because I don't think that way, but I'm sure there's a reason behind the seemingly bad idea to let the less expensive items outshine the rest. They could be trying to unload some overstock or something.

Date: 2009-03-11 04:32 pm (UTC)I think I may just give up and accept that I am going to buy a PC (almost) entirely because of the Dave effect.
*is hopeless*

Date: 2009-03-11 08:47 pm (UTC)I... just can't wrap my brains around the thought that someone might actually want to see Michael Jackson, let alone pay good money for it. Oh, the music used to be pretty good and all that, but nowadays I'd be about as likely to buy tickets to watch a traffic accident in slo-mo... (not that I believe for a moment that any of those scheduled concerts will actually happen anyway)

Seems like they're fixing the presale problem and it'll remain open until general sale on Friday! It might be worth going back for another try!
