Date: 2009-03-06 03:44 pm (UTC)The Last Remnant is a RPG by Square-Enix (which also makes the Final Fantasy series). The game has been out on Xbox360 since November 08 and will soon be available on PS3 and PC.

Essentially, it's the story about a young man called Rush Sykes, who tries to save his sister, Irina, from mysterious kidnappers. He chases the kidnappers from the island he lives to the main continent, where he meets David Nassau, the Marquis of Athlum, and his generals. Rush seems to have a hidden power and that power is apparently connected to his sister's kidnapping.
Rush learns that there are things called Remnant, whic grants great power to people who binds (ie make a contract with) them. Remnants come in many different forms. Some are weapons, some can protect people from harm, etc. For example, David's is bound to the Remnant
Gay BoltGae Bolg, which is a sort of weapon that can wipe out an entire field of enemies in one blast. Remnants have been around for a thousand years and people on the continent are used to the concept of them, although nobody knows what Remnants really are. The mysterious power Rush has is also connected to Remnants.And then, as RPGs do, shit hits the fan, things start to explode, a greater plot is uncovered and suddenly the world is at stake and it's up to Rush to save it. XD

Date: 2009-03-06 04:13 pm (UTC)Well, Torgal (the one that looks like a cat) is one of Athlum's generals, has served the country for 80 years and therefore has watched David grow up. So they should at least be pretty close. But the main, in-your-face pairing is David and Rush. They're so official it's like Golden Pair or SanaYuki. It's really hard to deny the fact!
