Explanation on D1 Exchange guesses

pezaka "Pez really hates work and would do anything to avoid it, including writing a post on exchange guesses".
The art are all very obvious. No need to explain.
I wrote Signal and I know Leila wrote Ace of Spades, so take those two off the list.
There are a few that I don't need to check the comments to guess confidently:
- Closer to the Stars is so obviously Liz's I'd go walk around the town centre on my hands, naked, if it wasn't hers.
- Souvenirs and Coffee Shops I'm sure is Crystal's because of style.
- Children of War has lots of things that Tracy often does in her writing.
Then start looking at who commented on what! Start noting down who COULDN'T have written something because they spazzed all over it in the comments. (Tricksy people like me might comment on their own fics, but if we do we wouldn't spazz, of course!)
- How Boredom Leads To BDSM - sounds just like the sort of fic title justsonya would use!
- Summer Fragments - compared this with kai882's other writing. Can't remember what gave them away, think it's partly the writing and partly the formatting style. But it was very clear it was theirs.
- Shifter - compared it with the list of remaining authors and it seems most likely to be myst_fujiwara's, although I only have her shorter, other-pairing fics to compare with...
- Louder Than Words - dshae47 talked about her fic a bit in her LJ and it seems like she wrote longfic, and that's the only longfic left in the list. It's either this one or Shifter and she spazz commented on Shifter, so. >D
So this leaves (not counting extra gift fic):

The Rain King
Alektra
and the authors:
onlysayitonce, quentelin, emmayori, whisper132
Whisper would've written a fic that's posted quite late since she was a pinch hitter. So it would be one of the last two. Looking at the characterisation of Yagyuu and Renji, there's no mistaking that she wrote Alektra.
Of all four authors, it's most likely quentelin wrote The Musk of Cloves in a Pomegranate because there's no (PoT) writing of hers to compare with and the other authors don't seem to use ellipses in their writing nearly as much. (Yes, I even checked dshae47's Spanish PoT fic to see if she likes to use ellipses. Just in case she didn't actually write longfic.)
So... that leaves onlysayitonce and emmayori. The Rain King's Niou sounds more like emmayori's Niou (I'm thinking about her art museum fic from Rikkai_Exchange), so maybe onlysayitonce wrote An Unexpected Sense of Duty.
Now double-check all your guesses and rethink all the ones you're not completely sure about and move names if necessary.

As for a tip on how to guess mine for future exchanges (because I might write in American English again and not AU :P)... I'm not sure if it's obvious, but my D1's dynamics is always the same. >D They have been that way since I first wrote them in 2005. I won't explain it in detail because then you'll realise all my fics are the same and are very boring. XDDDDD Also, not that I did it this time, but quite often Tezuka appears randomly in my fics, even if the rest of the cast are all Rikkai. So if in doubt, watch out for the Tezuka. Although, now that I've told you, I'll try to refrain from using him in the future...

1) Abuse of ellipses and semicolons.
2) Abuse of parentheticals.
3) If it's Rikkai-fic, Kirihara will be in it. Actual pairing does not matter. He perhaps does not always act the same way, but he will be there even in a bit part.
...They also tend to leave plenty of room for improvement.
