Slept around 10 hours. Wheeeeeeee~
The boss remarked today that I seem happier since moving hosue. Well, no long commute to already render me half dead by the time I get to the office really helps. Also, a weird cock-up means I won't have to pay for travel to work for the next 12 months! That's worth over £1100 OMG. I might even get around £600 back from National Rail on top of that! I can hardly believe it. Hey, I'll have money to spend on junk (and space to store it) AND money to save up, how cool is that?
Anddddd, my Glay & Trinity Blood package from YesAsia has finally been shipped. :D
On the down side, fanfic writing has been a drag. Currently my D1 Exchange fic feels like the worst thing I've ever written (ie even worse than my first fanfics) and I keep thinking I cannot possibly use it as my entry, because my recipient will be so disappointed. DX
But I'll tarundoru it, somehow...

Date: 2008-09-16 11:35 am (UTC)My season ticket from London to work = £2960/year. It was valid until beginning of December.
Annual tickets are 12 months for the price of 10.5 months. So if you move house and change the ticket over, they would work it out accordingly but say, if you only have 1 month left on it, you wouldn't get any money back even if your journey became shorter after you've moved house.
My ticket had 3 months left, so I wasn't expecting much money back...
But then at the station, the guy somehow worked out I was entitled to over £600 refund...? And even gave me a receipt, and said I'll receive a cheque from them in due course.
On top of that, the new ticket he gave me for starting from my new location isn't just valid until this December, but until September next year! (Which I only just noticed yesterday!)
So............. I don't know how that happened, really! But considering I commuted for 4 years, paid over £10k over that time and suffered many many delays, maybe it's a restoration of karmic balance...?
