So today I watched a bus stop being dug up.

Anyway.

Some dude should be over to look at my place and give a quote on how much the removals would cost. Online quotes are giving me £450-500 which I basically cannot believe. Though, I suppose the distance has something to do with it too. Mail redirection has been set up. Once the removal dude's been and gone I'll be calling BT. Meant to check out the carpet cleaning today too but wasted time waiting for removals dude (he said he'd be here at around 4, then changed to 5:30) so maybe tomorrow instead. Man, been on my feet all day.

Okay the removal dude's (his name is Frank) been and gone. £200 + VAT, much better. \o/ And he gave us free boxes! :D

I got to talk about City Hunter, Slam Dunk, Captain Tsubasa, Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon and all the good old series today. It is a thing of joy. (I still want the whole City Hunter series on DVD.)

As far as I know those series have never been shown here! But the girl I talked to today used to live in Italy and she saw them on TV there.

Here in Germany, all except Seiya was somewhere shown. We had a lot of Anime but people didn't know it was from Japan. (And no one really cared..) now we have pokemon and bad naruto :[ duh.

City Hunter. T_T I love it. I think I still might have it on VHS..
DVDs can be so expensive D: I'd love to help the anime dvd industry in Germany but when I look at the prices.. *shudders* and it's often that fansubs have the better overall quality. wth. :\

XD In HK we get lots of anime on TV. Characters get renamed and stuff, but at least we get them. :D

Yeah... it might be a case of buying it bit by bit. And the licensed stuff... sometimes it feels like they're done by translators who aren't into anime themselves, so they miss a lot of little things and don't care as much. =/

When I was a teenager they showed Sailor Moon on tv. I tried to watch it, decided it was about GIRLS EEW and stopped watching. These days I tend to like older shows. I love Saint Seiya, even though I haven't seen all of it yet. It's so long and no one here sells it. :(

By the way I'm currently watching Hajime no Ippo. I didn't think I'd watch sports anime again. ;;;

Yeah, but the quality of the subbing would be very bad. The English, at least. Which means I would have to watch all by myself! :(

The subbing doesn't bother me actually, because I don't use it. I dubbed the frakkin' series in Portuguese XD, I'd know what was going on.

You could watch it with me. I could fly to London and we'd have a Saint Seiya marathon, it's only 38 hours, we could easilly do it in a weekend if we started Friday night. Provided we did nothing else.

BTW, I have new muffins, red velvet muffins! :D
