For those interested:

15th June (Tue)
4pm - FYP deadline. I know I said Monday, that's because I need to show it to my supervisor for last minute corrections before handing it in.

18th June (Fri)
11:30am - Project viva with Cheeseman and Butler (why oh why do I have to get the director of undergraduate studies?) (but then I suppose that's still better than Darren who's getting Tsang... somehow I think a Q&A session with Butler is better than with Tsang)
3pm onwards - Poster session. I need to produce A3 posters (2 max) that will give show what my project was about.

Then I'm flying home on 22nd.

Still tired after waking up. Perhaps I should sleep a bit more so that I can concentrate on my calculations better. *pokes FYP*

Oh those photos! I'm making lightweight concrete aggregate by expanding waste glass. The little blobs are leftover calcium oxide from the chemical reaction that made the glass expand. So the pics were of my product - just glass, no concrete in it. It actually looks like this.

Abt the presentation, same here, just need to talk abt it basically... Butler will ask u 1 or 2 hard ques, but his marking will be lenient. So, don't worry. But u more or less done with ur fyp? going steady? 40-50 pages kinda thing? I'm on 30 gum la... die man. Two A3s on a single sheet makes it A2? Know where to print them as one? I heard BMS, not sure.

Cool!

My FYP is only 20 pages so far, but I know what I'm writing so that's fine... I'm going to hand it to Cheeseman on Monday for a final look over, so that I can correct stuff and hand it in on Tuesday.

Yeah it does make an A2, but it'll be harder to print A2 than A3. I asked Mable and she recommends Service Point (www.servicepointuk.com), they have a branch in Tottenham Crt Rd. You just bring your file to them on a disk and they'll print for you. But she used it when she was at work, so she has no idea how much it'll cost or if they'll print small quality of things.
