Date: 2008-07-09 07:49 am (UTC)I finished my RE before you posted your Niou WIP, actually. And my recipient wanted "classic D1" style plotting, which was something I struggled with writing. So if what you're suggesting, well...

Date: 2008-07-10 12:58 pm (UTC)Um, actually, no? Rather than putting my personal taste first, I just write what's been asked. There are always ways to make things exciting, that's my opinion. If she doesn't like drama (which is almost all that I write), I wouldn't complain about it. I'm fairly flexible with these things and very set on writing what was asked - isn't that the point of an exchange?

Date: 2008-07-10 01:10 pm (UTC)I did try to write what the recipient wanted. And if I still had the emails between myself and the third party, you would be able to read and neatly check off various things I included that the recipient--supposedly--wanted. I'm not complaining, I'm just frustrated and irritated that this is dragged out and I don't know why, okay? I'm frustrated and irritated because you asked for D1 fic, so I mention RE since you never said a word about mine, and then we get into a long discussion/argument/whatever about this, okay?

Date: 2008-07-10 03:29 pm (UTC)Did you even read my email reply to you? I've already told you there that I'm not upset about your fic having a similar plotline, but that you said mine was similar to yours when it clearly wasn't, and that I understand similarities happen in general. There is no need to jump to the defensive.
My comment on complaining about what the recipient want and does not want is in reference to your post here.
