I probably shouldn't feel this way, but after reading one of the reviews I got for [Threshold], I feel horribly discouraged. I probably screwed up the characterisation? But I mean, how can you confuse Tezuka with Echizen...?

The other review saying she found two of the lines off, that's fine to me. There were points I tried to get across with those two lines and I don't think she understood. In fact most of my fics have meanings tucked into lines that probably most readers don't realise because hell, people read too fast and without thinking. But that's fine, that's people's habits, as long as there are a few who do see the meanings I'm happy.

If anyone does ask I'm happy to explain the fic or any of my fics line by line. But I do wonder if anyone is that interested at all. *L*

I can't really review, because it's not a fandom I know, but I can say I loved the rhythm and the structure. They're things I work hard on in my own writing, so I really appreciate them in others.

I know what you mean, about those hidden meanings. I think of them as rewards for people who read beyond the smut, if that doesn't sound too conceited? I mean, I agree with you that it's fine for people to get whatever they want/can out of the story. But there's some readers who are just on the same wavelength as you and really get the treasures. And that's a warm, fuzzy, special feeling. ^_^

You've probably got the post-posting blues, hon. Don't let it bother you. I'm sure the characterisation is fine, and if I enjoyed it without knowing who the fuck they were - well, you're doing something right, ne? *hugs*

Yes... it makes me sometimes torn between writing the way I do now and writing a bit more "obviously", but it makes me feel like I'm stating the bleeding obvious and insulting the readers in a way *L* In all fandoms there is always a large variety of the readers it's hard to think what to do. But that's part of the fun too ^^
