and OMG it just occured to me that I can mix Kai's version into the existing Atobe + Sanada + Shishido version! (Might have to redo the whole thing, actually...)

Got the most wonderful fic comment last night. ;;

I'm slightly concerned that, the same picture, when opened on Photoshop, I don't see any problem. But when it's uploaded and loaded on Firefox, I see patches in the black areas etc. The last page of Rintou which I uploaded last night, for example. I see lots of problems with it on Firefox, which weren't shown when it was opened on Photoshop. There must be settings on Photoshop I need to mess around with. =/

Stalled on writing because there's supposed to be a sort-of-coded message which I need to construct. Ah, suckage.

After posting STRW, I stayed awake until probably 3:30. Worse still, I came to work and realised I've ran out of sugar for tea. So I'm low in rest AND sugar level. =_= This makes me really. fucking. miserable.

4 hours till auctions end. Must remember to bid. *sets alarm* I'll end up having doubles of some doujinshis, which I will sell, so watch this space. Told SMJ to ship me the current load of books. Was going to wait for these auctions but figured I wouldn't save much on shipping considering the way Japanese post works.

I wonder if the weather's good where lpatobe is?

Read fic last night, but didn't comment, because if I do I wouldn't be able to not point out the things that were technically (got the facts wrong, not characterisation/spelling) wrong with it and I don't know if the author would welcome that. If you were the author, would you welcome such a comment?

Yes and no? I would definitely want to hear about it, that's for sure. If we knew each other decently well, I think I would rather hear it in email/IM/whatever format just because I would be mortified, and if we didn't, a self-screened comment might be nice, which I realise is extra work for doing me a favour but that's how I would feel about it, personally.

Well, I'm certainly a spelling maniac.
And obviously is a matter of trust, because many people freaks out when you point to them stuff like that.
It would be nice to receive such notations on an email or a message, because maybe I'll be embarrased for my stupidity.

Personally I hate being told about spelling. But for persistent grammar problem (not a single problem but something that's throughout my writing) I would like to hear it.

The problem I've found has more to do with technicalities. Um... for a very exaggerated example, maybe the author said Niou walked from Tokyo to Kanagawa in two hours, which is not possible. Or the author used the wrong Japanese term, things like that. I think if I point it out, she may think I'm being l337 and stuff like that.

Yes. Apart from when I'm writing a fic under time pressure and without betaing, as part of a challenge, for example. I don't mind then if people then point out inaccuracies (you learn a new thing every day!), but if it's too much it comes across as a bit nitpicky. Otherwise, I'm always game to be enlightened.

I would, and did. I try not to make technical mistakes, but sometimes I do overlook things, and I'd rather be corrected than continue to be ignorant :p
