Nintendo's control system makes me feel like a retard. D:

A! Z! B! Shake nunchaku! Forward + A!

Not to mention the game assume you're used to Zelda's gaming system anyway. Like, you can smash pumpkins! Slash grass for hearts! You might get different rewards by killing your enemies in different ways!

Twilight Princess is so shiny. ♥ *waves fangirl flag* You'll get used to the Wii controls really quickly. :D And yeah, I tend to forget this, but Zelda games are made much easier if you've played some of the series before - you develop a sort of Zelda sense, and you know where everything will be hidden and how to unlock stuff. It'll come. ♥ As a general rule of thumb, try destroying/playing with everything you see, and if it looks suspicious, it probably is... ;)

I was gonna use my Zelda icon here, but my paid account's run out, so have a World of Warcraft one instead...

Haha! :D I have been teaching her the Way of Zelda, ie, EVERYTHING CAN AND SHOULD BE BROKEN, EVEN IN OTHER PEOPLE'S HOMES. ...this game comes across as though it must be a lot harder to play without knowing the game series already, 'cause it doesn't seem to be doing that much explaining of things relative to earlier games, but itlookssoshiny. *_* ...we've sort of been playing it as a joint effort so far. >>

I hope so! If it's, say, Devil May Cry or Final Fantasy, I tend to know what to smash and where to look for stuff. My last Zelda game had been this one on the SNES, so it has been quite a while!
