I believe I have just lost about 2000 words of a chapter of fic. And I don't know if I have a copy saved on the home computer.

The draft on gmail got overwritten by something else. I C&P-ed the wrong thing there. The first half of a chapter I had posted in a locked post on my LJ, but I'd written more and did some editing since then...... SIGH. I'm so stupid.

Not sure if there is a copy at home. =/ Had a feeling it only ever existed as a saved gmail draft. But I still remember most of it and am writing it down now before it leaves my memory...
