RP: spent the weekend watching Firefly, and I think I'll watch Serenity tonight (although I've guessed most of it already >>). Then the background homework would be more-or-less done. Profile is almost there. New journal to be made. Ummm, journal name...

Writing: Troika fluffy AU is sitting there waiting to be edited. Will probably let it sit for a few more days first. Renji-fic is being Renji-fic and will be just sitting there. That AU is brewing in the background. It's hard work, separating out all those Renjis. XD;

Work: it makes me cranky.

Firefly! Firefly! Firefly! *scatters confetti* I love Firefly. The Chinese makes me want to curl up in a ball and die, and sometimes the plots are a little contrived, but I love the characters to death (Mal! Inara! Mal-and-Inara! Jaaayne).

YES. I FEEL EXACTLY THE SAME.

Got hold of the RPG manual, and they have a list of "Chinese phrases" in the back. Oh, the pain. THE PAIN.

(And I still don't see the purpose of adding Chinese to the speech anyway. XD Except that maybe they wanted to swear before watershed.)

Just wait for Serenity. They speak even more Chinese in that, and a good chunk of it is poetry. POETRY. To be honest, I couldn't figure out what the hell they were actually saying and had to look up the script online.

As far as I can tell, it's to show that all the cultures from our world have meshed, and Chinese and English are the dominant surviving languages. It's kind of insulting that they almost only use Chinese to swear, though. *facepalm*
