Glay - Sorry Love (mp3)

Weekend weekend weekend.

From [livejournal.com profile] tokyostory: Roger has become Arthur. (article here) OH HAI, ARTHUR! ♥

I wrote a 700-words snapshot in yakuza-verse last night. It's sappy and wibbly and cute. Go me. Maybe I'll post it some day. Cute yakuza for the win.

A HUGE box arrived for me at work today. I suspect it's my Abel 1:8 figure. Maybe they wrapped it huge because of all the padding. Will open at lunch time.

Someone just said on a comm "don't write the arigatou in kanji, hardly anyone can recognize it" - er, not true. So not true. It's written with kanji on plenty of signs in Japan and the average Japanese student would learn what it looks like with kanji or just figure it out.

Not that I agree with writing in Japanese in a primarily English community, in the first place. Even if translation is provided. What's the point?

Cute Yakuza are cute. ♥

Fail me - I didn't even know there were Kanji for 'arigatou'. Guess you never stop learning *lol*

XD ♥

Depending on who's talking, sometimes you even see it in PoT manga/game, to illustrate their formal tones etc. Tezuka's lines are often kanji-filled!

Wow, I didn't know there were kanji for arigatou! But when I just went and looked it up, it seemed a bit familiar. I guess I hadn't noticed it before cos I didn't know it existed! I guess it's become one of those interchangeable ones because it's so common, and the "ga" is kind of complicated to be writing out all the time on stuff like TV captions.

It's usually used to express formality, so if it's just arigatou, people wouldn't write it in kanji, but arigatou gozaimasu, they would. You've probably seen it before but just didn't make the connection, that's why it looks familiar!

I agree and disagree with the kanji arigatou on English comms. While some of us can recognize it, like you said, it's just pointless on an English community. Kinda just makes the poster seem like a tard, imo.

Go you indeed! Keep up the hard, yakuza work!

Yeah, why bother? It's like writing Pairing: ToFu (AtobeFuji). Just makes me go wtf.

Yakuzaaaaaaaaa! *sends Niou to get some tattoos*

TOFU LOLZ!!!

YaYaYa is way better anyway. ;)

Niou would be even hotter with tatts. He's got Yagyuu's name on his ass cheek, yes?

XDDDD Maybe he should get something on his cheek. Face cheek. But not 69.

YaYaYa should be a song. If it isn't already.

I guess that depends how drunk Niou is when he gets it. =_="""

maybe he'll go and have one arm entirely tattooed, and tells the artist to hide a hedgehog in there somewhere?

I recognize arigatou in kanji, can't write it because I have a weird dyslexic behavior when it comes to writing kanji (commonly known as lack of practice).

Your statue is incredibly gorgeous.

Also, I loved the Glay "Sorry Love", it's incredibly beautiful and it's on repeat now, maybe it will make the blues go away.

Taking the GLAY song.

All the musing about the Yakuza fic seems pretty interesting. :D
