1. My phone's not connecting to Vodafone at the moment. Doing a "search network" only gives me 3, O2, T-mobile and Orange. That probably means the reception mast in this area is dead. Don't bother to ring/txt me, guys.



2. If you've upgraded to FireFox 2.0.0.5, your LJLogin needs to be updated as well. You can do this by going to the FireFox add-ons on the menu and then click "find updates".



3. LJ makes a second attempt at clarifying, after the flood of comments to their previous post, that they aren't banning underage pr0n, just badly written underage pr0n. (Badfic will now be deleted and badficcers banned? \:D/?)
   
   (Dear flist, please, chill. I thought we all know by now LJ always takes about 5 attempts to say anything they're trying to say, and another 10 before they correct and recorrect themselves enough. There's no need to scream bloody murder just yet.)



4. Still making Rikkai plushies. Now I look at the notyet!Oshitari and Atobe and they look really crap, so I'll just abandon those and make new ones. I suppose that means I'm getting better at this. When it comes to selling to the greater public (if I do get orders!) the price will have to go up, though, because the materials I now use are better and more expensive. And crap, I really don't like making clothes, they're so hard to make and I can't find the right materials. Can I just make nekkie plushies?

6. I want a really small, lightweight, wifi-enabled laptop that I can travel with. =/

2. But I tried yesterday and it didn't work. ;_; So I just turned off the extension for the time being. I'm glad it was sorted out so quickly...

3. Indeed. Regarding HP fandom though: if they want to go on hiatus, it's their problem. They know they're going to miss things, they make that choice. This is one level on which I don't expect the LJ team to cater to fandom. As far as I'm concerned, they can make their announcements whenever they want.

That someone would have to be really insane. O_O

3. It is their choice. But somehow I think someone on the LJ team might have said "let's announce this when the largest fandom isn't around!" and thought he was being really clever. =/ Kind of like how goverment minister announce things when natural disastors are all over the news, so that it gets covered up/not listened to...

3. I don't doubt that it was deliberate, but I can't blame them for it. It's basic tactics, after all. And anyway, I suspect the HP fandom as a whole of being too immersed in Potterwank for the next few weeks to pay attention to details like the TOS. >_>

...the strange thing being that, for example, my department doesn't actually make any major education announcements over the school holidays, because we'd be criticised for burying them even if it was just a matter of practical timing. I've been known to refuse to put things out until after Christmas for the same reason.^^

And yes, I suspect LJ timed it on purpose, given the little bombshell they were having to drop about fic.
