pezI'd signed up to a website that sends civil engineering news to my inbox daily. I got this just now:
Unfortunately the NCE website is currently experiencing technical problems. These will be fixed as soon as possible, but in the meantime here is an update on some of the news that is breaking today:
[various news items]
"An update on some of the news that is breaking today."
It's more a summary than an update, I think? Because it's their first email today, so it's not "updating" previously sent information, I think.........?
And... "the news that is breaking today"? Is it just me or does that sound very strange?
