This is more a list of "things I want" rather than a Christmas wish list, but anyway, in no particular order:


- A big umbrella, the type that business men sometimes use. None of those fold-up or quite-small ones. Because big ones mean I stay dry and people avoid me, so that I don't get poked in the eye by other people's umbrellas.
- Nintendo Wii
- Baking accessories. (Muffin trays, pie dish, etc)
- Cook books.
- PS3, when it comes out.
- A valance for my bed, white I think, since that's easiest to match colours with (yes, I found out it's called "valance"! And I mean valance for the frame of the bed, not for above the bed like a mosquito net!)


I went to Tesco just now! While looking for ingredients for mulled wine, I found that they actually produce ready-made pouches of those ingredients. A pouch can make 2 bottles, a packet has 2 pouches and it's about £2 I think. I was going to give it a try... and then I found that they also have bottles of mulled wine, too. XD Maybe it won't be as nice? But it means I can just heat up exactly how much I want to drink, and it's only about £2 too, so I bought a bottle to try. :D

I only knew it's called "bed skirt" in Cantonese! Had to go to department store website and look at their bed linen list XDDDDD

Unfortunately, there is no "under" my bed to hide things in T____T The bed itself is just like, a hollow block on which the mattress sits. :(

It's called a bedskirt in American English, and a valance is a...thing you hang over your window. (Oh, power of description, how you abandon me!)

It seems like in British English, there's valance (the curtain thing) and bed valance (bedskirt). This is getting confusing!

M&S also do bottles of mulled wine but the little spice pouches make nice gifts and are easily posted. Sainsbury's used to do them in little purple velvet bags, ore-sama happens to know.

Ore-sama is pleased to see that his baking influence is reaching across the UK. Will Tezuka be participating?
