- £25 inland UK or Europe one-way flights. Thought some might be interested. They are from major airports rather than the smaller ones.
- Speaking of airports, I just remembered the flight in December leaves Heathrow at 08:50am. That means Liz and I need to somehow get to the airport early in the morning o_o Oh dear. Might be that a taxi will need to be booked. Central London -> Heathrow is around £30-40 I think, so it's not the end of the world, I suppose. Will start to look for cheap PCO-licensed taxis.
- In a month
todayand a bit, I'll be on the plane withgiving_ground! *SQUEE*
- Me arms (more specifically, the insides o' me elbows) hurt from carrying equipment yesterday. *fail*
- I've been playing with the idea of making fic!Yamato speak in an old fashioned way, or in a sliiiightly piratey way, but since I'm very bad at making accents etc, I better not try. Also, amusing though it may be, it'd not be good for the plot. (it has a plot, I swear)
- Need. More. Yamato. Icons.
- When the train slowed down to pull into the station at work, I saw that somewhere in town, I think it's a local sports/leisure club, has two flags flying on its pole. The lower one is the England flag. The top one is skulls and cross bones - a pirate flag. XDDDD *easily amused*
- I came into work this morning and found a free magazine, with Johnny Depp on the cover, on my desk. My boss has too much time on his hands.
- Why do people say "he is not here at the present moment" rather than "he is not here at the moment"? At the moment usually means at THIS moment, right? Not next moment or the moment before. So there is no real need to say the PRESENT moment, I take it? Or is there a difference?
- "Uncompromising" is usually a good thing, but only when you're reasonable - if something cannot physically happen, then it cannot happen, no matter how you yell, grind your feet into the ground or throw money at it. Being stubborn doesn't mean the law of physics can be bent. >:E
- Looking at work things and how everything has to be DDA compliant now. I wonder how London Underground is going to deal with this. Won't they be fined massive amounts of money if they don't make sure the Tube is completely DDA compliant? (if that's possible at all...)
- I'm feeling overloaded XO
- Come ON, bigotry has never been exclusively white. How come people are only getting it, now?
- Yundi Li gaining HK residency? That's be quite nice :D I like the guy. (not that I know anything about him or anything about music appreciation, but hey, whatever XD I'm biased towards anyone who has a talent in music!)

(But it's a little over a month still, isn't it?)
...hmm yes. Well, split between the two of us the taxi shouldn't be too bad. ^^

Date: 2006-11-09 11:48 am (UTC)I think I've found a place that gave a £29 quote. It really depends on where in London the journey starts, apparently!

(The one of Yamato looked scarily much like one of my old supervisors. -_- )

Date: 2006-11-09 12:31 pm (UTC)He was a lovely guy and fairly entirely mad. He had the least controlable hair I have ever seen, a very amiable grin, and a tendency to talk at great length about his family (who were even madder than he was, on the whole) if you let him have too much vodka. XD;;
