At work now.

I'm SO behind on replying to posts and comments. >_< Will catch up on them tonight or tomorrow. Will also start logs with Echizen and Inui by the end of the weekend.

Innocent strawberries & banana smoothie is so nice, but it's such a yucky colour.

I've figured out why I don't like work. I guess I knew it all along but... *sigh*

XD

I don't like working in a team. I don't like liaising with other people and having to sit and wait for information to be delivered to me. Back in uni I hated group projects as well, always preferring to work solo, even if othe team members are really capable.

Unfortunately, engineering is about team work... -_-" Many other jobs too, really.

With things like writing, or I dunno, freelance design for bookcover or whatever (not that I can do that), I only depend on other people to a very limited extent and the conditions aren't ever-changing. And I will be able to happily work on my own for a while before having to meet with the editor or client to report on progree and stuff. That would be quite ideal. But I suppose such a job would cut off a lot of social interactions... everything has its down side ^^"

Now I need to get off my lazy ass and try to write an original novel - which I'd love to spend all my free time on, but I just haven't got any ideas... *sigh*

The social side of a job is actually very important - for getting the job done, not just personally - but the experience you have really depends on who you're working with. It's really frustrating if people have a different level of commitment, or ability, or you just have nothing to talk about besides work.

I spent half of my working life doing solo projects and it gets to be very isolating after a while, same with homeworking.
