In an attempt to stop myself from posting too frequently (it annoys even ME sometimes, believe it or not), I'll leave Semagic open and add to it and then post it later...
Sis just called saying that it was snowing heavily in London. Have to keep an eye on websites, if anything seems to go bad I should leave at lunch time and continue working at home. It's not like I don't want that to happen, but I already worked from home yesterday and would rather spend a full day in the office, otherwise it'll look like I'm trying to skive work.
The following is due to my 7 year Glay fangirlness. I've shared some of their rock songs before, so going a different route now, with some un-rock stuff...
南東風~PEACEFUL SESSION~
(Minamigochi ~Peaceful Session~) (I like calling it Minamigochi ~Very Silly Version~)
I think the title means "southeasterly wind". This is one of those silly songs Glay come up with every two years or so, and this version is even sillier than its original. This song is special to me because, unlike the usual emotional songs Glay used to always sing at the end of their concerts, they sang this uplifting, silly one at the end of "The Frustrated" Expo, the concert I went to. All 100k audience danced to it (para-para! XD), and Teru was grinning like an idiot all through the song. When I'm down I listen to this and remember the whole concert, hours and hours of Glay playing music, of standing there with so many fans and all going hyper about the same thing. And it makes me happy again almost without fail. It may sound very ridiculous but I suppose that's what people feel when they join great huge music concerts, the hippies people or at Glastonbury or somewhere - one can really feel there is something there, and the world is a great place.
At the end of that concert... it's a very special concert because it's their 10th anniversary concert... Jiro cried. Which was unbelievable, because if anyone cries it'd be Takuro and Teru, but even Jiro cried. And nobody wanted it to end, the audience or the band members, you could see it. It was just so special. Needless to say, if I ever have the money, I want to go again.
One thing to note about the actual song - In the beginning, everyone in the band sings (perhaps except Hisa, I can't pick up his voice)! Jiro's voice is so loud too XD! (in Glay, usually only Teru sings. Takuro may help with harmonies. Jiro very rarely opens his mouth and if he does, he sings in a really silly way more often than not - he can sing well, but he doesn't do it. Hisashi, well he's too shy to sing despite looking cool and crazy.)
Blue Jean
On the night before the concert at Universal Studios Japan, the Hard Rock Cafe there held a special night where the radio station Jiro does a show in held a live show in the restaurant. There was no Glay present of course, but rather a large gathering of fans sitting down and requesting for music whilst the two DJs were there. There were loads of cosplayers, people in lolita clothing, even yukata. There were girls and boys. And eventually after everyone ate, they gave up sitting and all stood to dance to the music. This song was played all the time just before the show began, and the PV shown on the screens as the single was released recently. Nothing very special about the song itself, it's pop music, but the PV is just PURE CUTENESS.
During the show, somebody asked for "Stay Tuned" and as they played it, the DJ pretended to be Teru XD He made such a good impression, doing all the moves typical of Teru. And he did all the rap part, it was bloody amazing! All the fans laughed so hard XD Afterwards, the other DJ told him, "Teru's probably gonna get angry, yanno XD"
すべて、愛だった-La vie d'une petite fille
(Subete, aidatta - La vie d'une petite fille)
Uh how to translate this? "In love with everything"? Something to the effect of loving everything about someone, I guess? The French part defeats me, but "petite fille" means little flower or something? Just a guess. Not my favourite Glay ballad (which will always, always be "zutto futari de..."), but this is is quite melodic too, not bad. Sharing too since it happens to be on the same CD. *shrug*
This weekend's plan is to make a new Jiro layout, and level Hiroshi (my new warrior sea-elf) to level 20. And watch Casshern.
I ate garlic yesterday and STILL have garlicy breath ARGH. I need a stronger toothpaste?
Having a cravying for Krispy Kremes!!!
lina_lau~~ let's meet up! Go hide at your place or mine (too cold out), I'll bring Krispy Kremes and we can play PS2 or watch DVDs~ I've got Casshern! And other things! I can take everything and choose what to do!
Wah, now 4 tube lines are suffering from delays. Should I really go home before it's too late? >_
