Hmm, I've read all that and I think that Tritorella went a bit to far in her speech. Either she was stressed or tired of stuff like this happening, being a mod isn't an easy task. However she crossed the line at the part where she said, and I quote: "I will come down on your arse very hard." That is defenitly not a diplomatic response, and for someone who wants to keep up the standart as a mod, it failed right there.
However, you've made your part of the mess ^^; not reading the rules, will eventualy lead to this confusion. As there are oh so many people that probably don't read the rules and will make those mistakes as well. Moderating that is a very hard matter, and stressful of course.
But once again, whereas I see your response as apologetic and diplomatic I see that Tritorella was a bit far off and insulting. Specialy in her last e-mail. ^^; But who am I again... I'm also a mod in a very harsh forum, in which discipline and strict measures have to be applied or else a couple of users will disrupt all the rules and annoy the other users. Being acused of taking harsh and diplomatic measures or of being arrogant, it's something that I've grown used to in that forum. But once again, I do not insult people in a personal way. I deal with it the diplomatic way.
This is the set back to the foruns, mailing lists, groups in the internet. Once people have found their way to control others in give and return insulting e-mails, it'll just lead to a bad end.
