Running out of rocks

Today is a day of copious amounts of tea and coffee with copious amounts of sugar. I'm a bit jittery now. Did the wise thing and said hardly anything during a 2-hour meeting.

The fic took just over a week to write, coming up with a title will take longer. It's not one of those stories where a single-word title will suit. And everything I can think of only describes one of the themes or main characters, which is just not right.

NEED. HELP.

Can anyone please throw me songs (can just be the lyrics, or song title and artist and I can look it up myself), poems, books, anything you can think of that's along the following themes:

It started in my head with a lot of mindfuckery, but it didn't turn out like that. Huh. Now it feels a bit half-arsed. Though, I started it not really knowing the shape of the thing so saying it's half-arsed is probably not doing myself justice? Anyway. I LIKE SENTIENT THINGS. THAT IS ALL.

I don't like the title but if I spend any more time coming up with one I'll start hating the fic.
