I went to Cheung Chau (southwest Hong Kong) with my family before coming back to UK. The islanders were preparing for the Bun Festival, so I took some pictures. I'm not sure about the exact origin of the tradition, but it has something to do with appeasing the dead spirits, or so I've been told. (included pic of tree because it reminded me of Tezuka's "Marilyn" bonsai. And I pixellated Sheep away 8D)

And here are some pics of the Ten Thousand Buddashs Monastery in Shatin, Hong Kong. We went there after going up the hill to burn incense and stuff for my grandparents, nearby. Which meant going up the hill there, going half way down and then walking that hellish staircase to the monastery. I'm still surprise I hadn't died. Apart from loads of buddah statues, we also saw a lot of monkeys. XD

As for the pic with WTFFFF written on it, well, it's to do with the teaching on the sign, which translates to "Happiness may not mean happiness, misery shall always be misery"... which is not what it is word for word, but still...

Spent the past day and a half playing Shin Onimusha. I'm getting used to the gaming system now and playing it a lot more smoothly. Though, at level 12, WHY AM I STILL NOT GETTING TENKAI BACK? I don't like using spear-type weapons much, which Tenkai specialises in, but I like the guy.

The rest of the time, I had been reuploading pictures for my journal, so that at least the posts linked in my "memories" section would have the pics back. The ones I had up at walagata.com are gone forever, but the ones I had on my private server are still here. There are still some pics to upload, but there's a lot of sorting out to do so I'll work on it next time.

Did some chores, gone food shopping, took the trash out, etc. Now that 3 people live here, there's a problem with washing clothes. There's a constant pile of clothes waiting to be washed but we can't keep the washing machine running since we have no dryer, meaning we have to hang the clothes dry. If we wash another load right away, there is no room to hang them. =_= So annoying. Every other day is washing day and every other day there are clothes hanging around =_=

Randomly, I just remembered the old (recently replaced) washing machine at home sounded a lot like an airjet engine. It also vibrated so much that we used to say it danced XD;

I think I'm going to go to bed with my laptop and try to write something for once, instead of just thinking about it.
