There is a workaround, and I urge you to perform this tweak in order to make keep FireFox a safer and just more generally righteous web browser:

about:config

into the FireFox address bar. You'll be presented with a page of configuration options. Scroll down to

network.enableIDN

Double click this option to switch it's value from true to false. Having a setting of false will prevent you from being a victim of one of the most dangerous phishing attacks that I've ever seen. I don't normally send out advisories like this, but this one is such a doozy....

(no subject)

Yesterday Sai took a look at the MUD I was playing. I briefly told him what it was, and he went "oooooh, I know what you're talking about. They used to be so popular a few years back. It's the most basic/numerical form of 'RPG'." And said something about it used to be played by pen and paper, and then eventually evolved into cards (like "Magic" cards I suppose?) and then onto the internet.

I like it when people know what I'm talking about. My sis takes a look at my screen and her only comment was "looks like cyber sex". I am not going to ask why she thought so and if she was comparing it with anything she had tried XD

btw, Tez in the game has been wearing a pink frilly robe and a blue scarf. I think he lost the robe now, unfortunately XD I should work harder on bringing my boy's levels up instead of wandering around in the wild just to look at room descriptions XD

I'm going to write letters and stuff tonight. I've been meaning to send at least one or two out when I was in HK, but never got around to doing it -_- Ah well. Some people will soon be forced to join a gang called Pez's HamHam Gang. Future gangsters will know what I mean when they receive my letter. *nod*

And I just have to say it: CAD technicians never understand what URGENT means and I HATE THEM.
