30 days of music - Day 01 - Your favourite song

Hard to pick, of course. I think Glay's Zutto futari de... from their 1995 album Speed Pop is probably an all-time favourite. If I remember correctly, this song was written for Teru's sister's wedding. It's cheesy as hell, but also very heartfelt.

Listening to these songs too much can make me cry. Especially White Road. It's because of this song that this fic exists.

I think my current favorites of theirs are Yuuwaku and STARLESS NIGHT. STARLESS NIGHT is newer but it's so cute and fun ;o;

Yuuwaku tends to be the fast favourite for anyone who tries Glay's songs! :D It's a brilliant song.

Tangent based on vague memory of a conversation we may or may not have had several years ago about Glay (memories are hazy...) plus listening to a bunch of Swedish music lately: is it just me, or can songs get away with being a lot cheesier in languages other than English before it gets annoying? Arguably this is just because I'm only semi-fluent in my language-other-than-English, but I'm not sure.

It's the English people and their delicate sensibilities, I think! Or at least they pretend to have those when they actually love the sap. But when it's in another language, they can go YAY SAP and say it's okay because it's not in English. XD
