Slept and woke up extra early due to jet lag, so I used this morning to finish watching Moyashimon. Why are there so few episodes? It feels like the story has only just started but it's all over already.

My sister and I agreed that the Japanese yoghurt microbe is very Sanada...

Starting on Code Geass season 2, Vampire Knight and Bus Gamer soon. For once I can actually watch something as it gets shown rather than be told by people "btw I just watched half/all the episodes of this wonderful series and blah blah blah, blah blah, blah blah blah you should watch it too!" Some might find it strange but I like to either watch something in my own time or be watching it when everybody else is. It's really off-putting to discover something when everybody else has discovered it a week ago and are on the next climax point of the show already. They LJ-cut their fangirl gushing so that they don't spoil others, but I'm left to feel really blah about it all because I don't know what they're talking about. Then the feeling comes that I must watch faster to know what everyone else is talking about and really, between all my obligations and interests, there isn't much time left to sit and watch lots of episodes in one go anyway. And the fun of it is taken away because it feels too much like work. I'm sure the series is great. But. Just call me weird, okay?

Finished the Yakitate Japan game. It says there is now a new, secret stage, but it seems like I have to play it all over again before I can reach that stage. >> Going back to L - the Prologue instead.

At work, they're making me finish a report on a scheme but they've made changes to the scheme that I've only just found out. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS.

^^;; I am SO guilty of this, because I find it hard to figure out what'll interest you and what won't. OTZ

I think the problem is, rather than what interests me and what doesn't, that I can't find the time to sit and watch something. By the time I do, everyone else is half way in or have already finished.

Also, when you tried to show me TTGL, it was the worse timing ever because I was im the middle of ficcing.

Why are there so few episodes?

I wish I knew. I think they underestimated how much people would like it.

Yeah, I know. I'm bad at the timing thing. XD;

I dislike having other people tell me what to watch. If someone pimps something really hard I never want to watch it. I want to discover my own shows. It's rather silly. The problem is that I end up watching things that no one else likes, so to be able to squee at all, I have to pimp them. This tends to get annoying. Oops.

I like getting recs, but hard-selling puts me off, too. If a friend gently recommends something, I'd give it a go - it's just the timing issue that's the problem. I wouldn't (and wouldn't want to) ask friends to not watch any further until I can catch up, but... then they get 15, 20 episodes in and I just give up even trying. =/

Yeah. That's the great thing about watching shows as they come out. No one gets more than one episode a week, so it's not that difficult to keep up. I don't watch new shows that often. I'm always afraid that the promising shows will end badly. And since most of my friends like certain shows rather than anime in general, I don't have much of a reason, because no one will watch it with me anyway. But yeah, I agree that watching after everyone else isn't fun. Doing stuff together is sort of what this fandom thing is all about.

I began watching Moyashimon last night. But the subs I got are awful in the sense they have more editing comments than dialogues itself and the font is too big and I suspect bad timed, it was difficult to get the hang of it. ^^;;
While trying other episodes to see if they were better subbed, the laptop shut down. :|
This anime was up on december, right? maybe it was used like a mid-season one and maybe it will get other season soon.
And the icon is wonderful. XD De gozaru?

(Yes, sometimes the hard pimping is a turn off ^^;;)<-- sorry, early morning english ^^;;

I think the sub group I used as called BSS, and I downloaded their .avi files. The quality is fine.

De gozaru!

I think I found them on mininova.org!

(The gozaru thing is, I believe, an old-style Japanese way of speaking. Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin used to say it all the time. Sometimes it's gozaru, sometimes it's de gozaru. It's just a way they end their sentences.)

Oh, thanks, I'll look for them this afternoon, hope they have good seeding, because I DLed the .mkv ones from MU.

And thanks. I totally knew it was a japanese thing. I didn't saw Kenshin, you know. ^^;;

I feel the same way about keeping up with anime/drama whatever series. So I never watch anything. >>

Some might find it strange but I like to either watch something in my own time or be watching it when everybody else is.

Or in my case, I usually don't get a chance to watch it until everyone's already done and over with it. So half the time when I find a series I am liking and want to MADLY FANGIRL with people, everyone's already moved on and don't care about it anymore. XD Cryyyy. This is the main reason I haven't watched Bleach or Death Note other than catching random eps on CN. >>;

One of these days I might go pester Steve for his Bleach dvds since he's still fanboying it, but walking next door takes too much work. (See, I can't even keep up with things when he's watching them and dling the second they come out XD).

I have this very same problem. 90% of the stuff I would happily fangirl has no fandom to speak of (or it's so ancient no one even remembers it) XD;

I'm sort of torn about watching code geass 2nd season. i want to know what happens, but i think that show has too much foreshadowing and it honestly scares me. augh lelouch ;__;

You can try the ones I'm starting on, now, since all of them have only just begun. At least try Vampire Knight - I've read about 4 volumes of the manga and it's full of terrible cheese, and I've cosplayed as one of the characters before. Just that is enough reason for you to start watching! XD

I know what you mean. It was the same reason why I stayed away from Bleach until almost a year after everyone started watching. But it was good, though, since the squee has already died down to an acceptable level so I didn't feel pushed into watching it, but there are still enough fans around to squee with once I watched what's available!

....Fail, Nori. XD

I just watch it for the laugh! Lulu's drama never fails to me giggle. The end of the last season really was quite sad, though.

I've been kind of slowly cutting my teeth on Gintama, but that's about it. :x

There are a few tokusatsu shows/anime I really WANTED to watch, and/or dramas, but by the time I get the chance to watch ONE episode it seems like they're already up to #8 or #10 and i feel like I'll never catch up and say 'screw it'.
