I've been doing that lately on Tenipuri, mostly for people linking locked fanfic. It's rude, imo, to link to locked entries on public communities.'
Like you, I miss the days of scans being available on the communities, not special scan-only/whatever locked journals. Why not post a locked comm entry if they're worried about things?
