I'm not complaining, but there seems to be a lot of YanaKiri at rikkai_exchange. Or maybe there isn't, it's just the impression...

And what the heck is it with people dropping out? This must be the 3rd or 4th "for the whole community" story. Pisses me off. Why do people commit themselves to things and then run off?

Well, yes indeed. I'm not much bothered though I live in my personal data pair/Sanayana/Troika paradise.

But it's annoying all the drop outs. Giving_ground only talked about needing help with 2 fics (at most maybe 3-4) but I suspect there are more pinchhit fics to be sent, right?

Maybe some people told her they were dropping out quite early on, so she was able to find replacement writers. Pinch hitting is mostly for those who just dropped off the face of the earth with no communication. But I'm guessing.

I was thinking, maybe the drop-outs would be spreaded out throughout the posting period... but if this is already spreading it out, then how many people have actually returned with fics, I wonder...

I honestly dunno -- I think a lot of people just failed to communicate at all so the mods had to assume they'd dropped out and reassign most of the requests, as well as getting in a few pinch-hits. There was loads of time, as the mods extended the deadline by a month, so we had...three months, I think? Some of the requests were a bit tricky, but I think mostly it was people just never communicating at all. @_@

4 "for whole comm" stories so far, but I'd imagine there's more to come. Same numbers for YanaKiri, which surprises me, since usually it's not...er...a popular pairing. SanaYuki, yes. D1, yes. But YanaKiri? o.0

No, a "for the whole comm" fic is a fic written for someone who has since dropped out. Basically, it's the fic the deadbeat would have received were they not, you know, a deadbeat ;)

I think that's when the person the fic was for didn't complete their part of the exchange. For example, you were assigned to write for me, and I assigned to write for someone else. But I drop out, so your fic for me becomes "for the community", unless it fits the prompt of someone else who isn't getting fic because of a drop out.

there are more "for the community" fics to come, yeah... >_< I've been trying to spread them out a bit but there was a point when I was a bit low on stories to post because of waiting for people to get pinch hits in, so. Yeah. Fail. SO MUCH FAIL. >_> Anyway, I don't have as many left to post as have already gone up. I think. (I think around eight people have dropped out, out of 28, but at least one or two of those people were writing for others who also dropped out. So... yeah, I'm less than happy with that. *eyes the rest of the comments* ...at least it's not as bad as jexchange. XDD)

I'm really surprised at how much YanaKiri there is, too! *blinks at it all* Where did this come from??
