Too early on a Saturday morning
Jul. 14th, 2007 08:13 amI feel terrible. My chest is really tight, as if I swallowed something too big, too quickly, a bit like heartburn. Somehow I suspect it's because of the nose thing yesterday. Because it was so high up, afterwards I kept tasting icky stuff and felt that the little bit of chemical was running down the back of my throat, rather than out of my nose from the front, which was what it did last time. Last time, it tainted and burned the outside of my nose a bit. Maybe it burned down the inside of my throat this time. I don't know. I just feel really crap.
Said I'd go to bed early last night, but HARDtalk Extra had Barbara Kingsolver on the show and I'd read one of her books before (The Poisonwood Bible), so I stayed up to watch that just before midngiht. She said a lot of obvious, but important things, that she does when she writes - regard the reader to be at least as intelligent as yourself; show them the story, but don't tell them what to think... etc. Not awake enough to remember the rest. I'd link to the full interview, but the HARDtalk website hasn't updated with that yet.
(The Poisonwood Bible is a good book. Read it.)
Hahaha the Beckhams in LA. David Beckham still has that idiotic grin. He should just stand there and look pretty, play some good football/soccer, but keep his mouth shut. Or get some speaking lessons.
[edit] I'm registered with TPS but a company still managed to ring me and they know my name. Not impressed. Told them so. They said they'll remove me from their call list. Grr.
