I remembered what Renji was reading in the game - the Go Rin no Sho. (English link)

[edit] Aha! Amazon.com has it.

XD!

There are free versions of it all over the net, I just realised. But I bought a cheap copy at amazon marketplace anyway. *snicker* Is it something quite famous? I read somewhere it's described as one of the three great books on war, or something.

Yeah, as far as I know it's pretty famous. (Of course my perception on these things can be skewed by being surrounded by history geeks.)

I'm really clueless about these things. The only one of those books I know is the one by Sun Tze. But if I don't know even that, I should be shot as a Chinese person. XD;;;;;;;

Don't know if you're interested or these are helpful at all but, I always keep these in my LJ links list:

http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/132 : The art of War

http://www.samurai.com/5rings/ : Go Rin no Sho

Ooooh! Thanks! I've read the Art of War years ago (in Chinese) but have forgotten most of it/couldn't understand a lot of it. It'll be nice to read both these books now. :D
