I don't know what is wrong with my computer. I haven't done ANYTHING to it **, but since a while ago, this desktop just loses net connection. The Internet Gateway on Network Connections disappears, leaving just the LAN icon. If I change my IP (to something else in the 192.168.0 range), I'd get online again, but only for a few minutes before the connection disappears again.

This comp goes online through another comp, using ICS. None of the other comps at home are getting problems. What the hell???

** ran a virus check, but nothing found and so nothing done.

I had something similar a few weeks ago, the connection just kept dropping. I emailed my provider's technical support and they said to paste your IP address into the URL bar, look through the stats given and tell them what the 'frequency' of your modem is. I'm not sure how this worked, but for mine the frequency was wrong (suddenly??) and all they had to do was reset it online.
