Yagyuu knew what sort of mood Niou was in as soon as he saw the can of coke in Niou's hand. His eyes narrowed, the only sign of worry he allowed himself to show, and then walked over and confiscated the drink before Niou could give it a good shake and then offer it to some unsuspecting girl. But a good upbringing prevented him from wasting the drink, so he opened it for himself... And cursed under his breath at a madly snickering Niou for shaking the can on his way back from the vending machine.

Gakuto has never heard of the word "pedicure", until he met Atobe. The trip to the beauty salon was quite an experience, he isn't sure if he could describe it as plesant or disturbing (he'll have to consult Yuushi about it), but at least he got something out of it, apart from ten perfectly pedicured toes... he discovered the perfect Atobe's one-and-only weakness: he's ticklish in the foot.

Tezuka didn't usually go to this particular sports shop, but the Mizuno store was closed for refurbishment and he desperately needed some new grip tape. At the cashier desk, he bumped into Gakuto from Hyoutei.

"Hello," Tezuka said politely as he took a look at Gakuto's purchases.

"Heya." Gakuto saw the curious looks in Tezuka's eyes. "They're skateboard wheels."

"Ah. You skateboard?" Stupid question, perhaps, Tezuka thought to himself.

"Nope."

"Oh..."

"Yuushi likes doing it on a skateboard. But we got too excited last time and broke the wheels."

Tezuka blinked, and decided not to ask further.

At the Junior Selection Camp, Sanada was putting the practice information together with paperclips so that he could distribute it to his team easily the next day, when his roommate for the week arrived. He quickly switched off the television.

"Hi, I'm Sengoku, from Yamabuki-chu." His new roommate gave a friendly wave and dumped his bags down.

"ch...chu?" Sanada suddenly turned beet-red, and he ran away, managing to send paperclips and pieces of paper flying into the air as he did so.

Sanada swore to himself to never watch Hamtaro anime again.

Sitting on the stools, Atobe nudged Tezuka's waist with an elbow.

"So how did things go with Fuji?"

Tezuka drained his whiskey, and waved at the bar tender for another one. And sighed heavily as his answer.

"You should've known better than to take advice from Mizuki Hajime, Tezuka. I knew Fuji wouldn't like you in a purple flowery sweater. It's such bad taste."

It wasn't as if Atobe's advice was any better - Tezuka doubted Fuji would want to see him in a pink, frilly shirt. But Tezuka kept the thought to himself, finished his drink, and decided he should just wear nothing the next time he saw Fuji.

The day Seigaku went to Rikkai for a friendly practice match, Niou wore a flower in his hair. Not just a flower, but a large, pink, fresh one.

They drew straws to decide on who played against who. When a particularly difficult shot from Tezuka made Niou chase hard, causing his flower to fall, he collapsed onto the court and sobbed.

"TEZUKA YOU MEANIE!" He shouted, before scooping up his flower and dashing towards the changing rooms, leaving a stupefied Tezuka on the court. A second later Tezuka dropped his racket and gave chase. He had no idea what was going on but no way was he going to live with people thinking he made somebody cry.

At the back of the courts, all of Rikkai roared with laughter. Tezuka was never going to see the end of this.

"I really enjoyed that. We should do it again, Mukahi-kun," said Sengoku.

Gakuto grumbled. "That was the last time I ever play musical chairs with you."

When Tezuka twisted his ankle during a game with Yukimura at a private tennis club, Yukimura helped the injured boy to the locker room and made him sit down. There was nothing Tezuka could say that would prevent Yukimura from attending to the problem, so he kept quiet as Yukimura pulled his shoelaces free and then relieved him of the tennis shoe, and then his sock.

Yukimura cradled the foot carefully, his palm lightly pressing into the arch whilst the other hand held the foot nearer to the toes and began rotating it gently. Feeling embarrassed by the situation, Tezuka grumbled a "I'm fine", and pulled his leg back. Yukimura would not let go, so he pulled again, bending down at the same time to retrieve his sock.

He blinked, and became totally still when Yukimura took the opportunity to kiss him on the lips. Neither of them said anything then. Yukimura continued with the massage, until later he had touched every part of Tezuka's body and both of them were too exhausted to move.
