Wanted a change from doing guild tasks and suddenly remembered I had not yet beaten The Fallen. So off I went. Got it to flashing red after 4 turns, but then it animalculed me and messed up my groove*, so I didn't kill it until the 9th turn. Ah well. Didn't use any WA, so at least I can still be fairly proud?

Why are rockgrater tails so hard to find? They shouldn't be that rare. And don't even get me started on the butterfly liver...

orz I spent so much time trying to get it. Even the rare butterfly mob doesn't want to drop/split. And David keeps asking for it.

Can't seem to spawn dragons anymore. Is my BR too high? I need dragon liver and inverted dragon scales. This is going to be very annoying...

Had to kill Jurupari 3 times before I got it to split dwarven core. But now I have it and have advanced customisations. Will farm for excellent tatarachi materials. (Swordflash!)

Currently crafting a soulshield for Rush. I really want to see a shield WA.

I bet Torgal is married. To a woman who is an even better fighter than he is (which means she's omgwtfamazing seeing as Torgal is my best DD). She's just more sovani-like than he is and doesn't mingle much. Except during big Athlum events that requires attendees to bring their partners. David's birthday ball or something. XDDDD I also bet she is very hot.

Much better than me... I relied heavily on the chance that my 3 guys with WA would pull them on the Fallen, and it still killed me two times before I killed him.

Dave also keeps asking me for Butterfly liver. I don't think it actually exists. I also don't think Harpylias exist. Duke of Ghor keeps asking me for some fly thing that seems to exist even less because I've killed every fly-type in the game several times over with no drop/splits.

Don't those Brunhildrs spawn in AR? Or are they one time only deals. I keep getting Abelisks popping up in The Heroic Ramparts.

My Gleny has Swordflash; it's the only reason I'm keeping her around. I also randomly got Jorgen to learn Souleater (I think that's the name), but he won't use it.

I personally think there's something wrong with Baulson; he's a little too obsessed with dancing. With Wyngale, at least you know you're getting a homicidal maniac.

I don't believe in female Sovani. There haven't been any in the game. At all. I think Torgal and Allan are married but on a relationship hiatus.

Have you ever heard Jager say, "Chill, Chill, Chill man, just chill"? That may not be exactly right, but I'm pretty sure he says chill at least 4 times in one sentence. I wonder if some of the things that they say in the dub weren't ad libs that they decided to keep for the amusement factor.

I keep telling myself rare component is rare. But this butterfly liver business is really getting on my nerves. Dave - BUTTERFLIES DON'T HAVE FRIGGING LIVERS.

Ah I got Brunhildrs in AR pretty easily. They're in two of the rooms on the floor which oblivion wings and terror wings spawn. (2nd? 3rd? Don't remember.) Do the abelisks in HR drop inverted dragon scales? I need them, apparently the abelisks in GSS drop them but I can't even get them to spawn anymore.

My Glenys does too! But all her other arts and stats are crap. I think I recruited about two thirds of my leaders too late and I don't really use them (just had them for quests) so now they all have around 700HP only.

Wyngale is still scaring me.

XD It could be. Or Allan is bitter that Torgal chose a woman over him. If Torgal had a wife she had to be awesome. And I bet Dave is a little bit scared of her.

Still no butterfly liver. I'm going to cry. I killed Swallowtail at Berechetavelle at least 50 times and even though it's a rare it still refused to drop the liver.

For Harpylias it's better to get them at 7th Path, btw. They should spawn at 3rd Path but they don't spawn if other rares spawn and somehow, towards the end of the game, rares at 3rd Path keep spawning. orz

The elusive butterfly liver is supposedly obtained from Greater Echindnamoths. I have been to Darken several times with Echidnamoths, and I have created a link of 9 (the most I think you can do in there with the stupid moths). They only ever drop butterfly eyes and/or dust. The liver does not exist (I, too, have hunted two or three different moth rares to no luck with the liver).

I did end up getting Harpylias in the 3rd path. They were even nice enough to drop their hides.

I've been trying to spawn freakin' Nightingale in Fornstrand; I haven't had a singe rare in there since I killed Eldritch Dragon... Isn't the opposite supposed to be true?

Oh, and the Abelisk question. I got them to Spawn in GSS and linked a bunch together (I got super lucky with a charm aura - and to think I thought that stuff was bad back in the day). They drop war dragon talons and something else that is extremely common. I need to kill The Lost so I can get the dragons back at SWR... only The Lost is beyond me right now.

I, too, love Wyngale? Did you ever recruit Gaou or Zolean? I wanted to see if they would converse with me (they did!), and Gaou takes the Obsidian; that's going to pay off when the WA pops up.

The rare monster FAQ said Swallowtail drops too, and since I got fed up with Echindnamoths I thought I'd give Swallowtail a try... or 50 tries. I would just let Dave eventually upgrade on his own but he already took 8 jewel steels so I want to try anyway.

Nightingale spawned for me the first time I went to Fornstrand! Also got the Hairy Crab at the end of the area (rare but not guild task). Nothing else has spawned so far though.

Keep hearing about The Lost... need to look it up.

The rare monster FAQ - are you talking about the one on GAMEFAQS. That thing has only been correct about half the time. Like Nordri? It turns out that he can spawn in 3 (confirmed) rooms of Aveclyff and there are no set conditions so you have to check every room every time. I hate Aveclyff right now.

Gaou, after you recruit him, ends up in the back left corner of the pub in Baluuk. I'm of the opinion that he and Zolean (Zolean comes with gigantor katana) were meant to have side quests but got left out in the time crunch (along with a few others like Glenys say things after their final quests that imply further quests). Maybe the PC version will answer that...

The Lost is The Fallen on speed. I need a dungeon called the Ancient Ruins II because I don't think the Ancient Ruins will cut it. I think I'd have better luck with the Enlightened Conqueror only I haven't found him (or the 7) yet. I'm about to go bandit hunting in Mojcado Castle because I read that if you build a huge chain then draw out the bandit fight that you get large stat raises... I'll see if it works, at any rate.
