Okay... If you see anyone's post that looks like this:

Subject: interesting...
Body: this is very interesting

Don't click on the link. It'll just add exactly the same post to your LJ. As we know LJ's security is rather non-existant, who knows how people managed to do that. Might be another password-mining technique for all I care. Looking at the link which hosted this weird auto-posting thing makes me even more worried - this person has put "assorted hacks" he has done under the "project" section of his webpage.

If you've already clicked on the link, I suggest you go and change your password now, just in case.

I was caught very early this morning with that one which explained my ATTENTION mention in a varia post...

So I've been following the discussion in one's LJ and here's a summary:

1- This is similar to a Russian meme that was going around yesterday;

2- It does not (thank god) catch our passwords. The script uses the cookies of the session to post the same entry in YOUR LJ once you click on it;

3- One thing you might want to do is BIND your LJ to your IP (if you only use your LJ at home, let's say) but it's not totally helpful...
