Yeah, I use both hands to open a bottle: I hold the bottle with my left and twist the cap open with my right. Sometimes if I can't get it opened right away, though, I'll switch hands. XP
coz of the anti clockwise design, u get less grip so i guess u have to use your right but if it is a really stiff cap, would u be able to open it with your right hand?
Sometimes depends on which hand you used is stronger than the other. Or you could say the grip that you find comfortable for your hands... Like holding a tennis racket, if the grip is not comfortable you're not going to hit the ball properly or anything involves with twisting things open.
Actually I feel it's kinda different. With a tennis racket, it's about knowing how to use your muscles... learning to control and stuff, so it's usually more easily done with your writing hand, but not impossible with the non-writing one, just takes more practice.
But with twisting a bottle cap, it's the mechanics of making a hand rotate something in that particular direction. I find I can't do a bottle-cap twisting motion as good as my right hand can, even though I'm a lefty -_-
I know this!

Re: I know this!
I mean twisting the cap... I've always used my right hand and my sis just asked me why ^^" somehow with my left I can't twist it the right way...

And so this is on topic. I open bottles with my right hand, unless the bottle is evil and refusing to cooperate me with me, then I switch to my left.

Bottles are EVIL! In fact lots of things are evil to left handers... scissors being one *sigh*

Have you tried twisting the bottle cap both ways (not just left) to get to pop open?
