The Departed

Perhaps I just love the original too much, but the trailer of The Departed (Hollywood remake of the HK box office hit "Infernal Affairs") didn't look exciting at all. :/

Making this cosplay is killing me. *sigh*

Is that the Scorcese one? Cos it just looked like they'd thrown big names at it and hoped something good would come out, which is often a recipe for failure. :/ Why try to improve something that was already pretty great, not to mention a hit internationally? Damn Hollywood.

Yes, that one! Rather disappointing, since they are good directors and actors... might still go see it, depending on the reviews when it comes out... not sure :/

They're remaking THAT now as well? Christ, is nothing sacred? >(

the one that made me go bleugh was a remake of The Eye with Tom Cruise playing the doctor.
They will leave nothing alone. they think that because it's subbed no one will watch it and that the vast majority of America can't keep up with subtitles. the great irony is that the american remakes often bomb, look at The Ring compared to Ringu, one is whispered about and has stupid high grosses and the other had naomi watts and the girl playing Sadako, oh i'm sorry, Samara, is Lilo from Lilo and Stitch.

Pulse is crap, it's a remake of Kairo, one of the few films that really scared me though the ending was a bit bleh.
So I'm not looking forward to it at all, I'll probably still watch it mind, but I've also decided I'll probably watch DOA, so.... then I'll say it's crap.
Although Snakes on a plane was really good.
